CUSTOM JEWELLERY POLICY
Policy update date: 10 July 2026
This Custom Jewellery Policy ("Policy") governs all orders for Custom Jewellery placed through www.aarunya.co ("Website") by customers ("Customer", "you", "your") with Aviana Diamonds LLP, operating under the brand name Aarunya ("Aarunya", "we", "our", "us"). Custom Jewellery orders are subject to specific terms relating to the design, payment, approval, production, and delivery process that differ from the terms applicable to Ready-to-Ship and Made-to-Order products. This Policy is to be read together with Aarunya's Terms & Conditions, Cancellation Policy, Return & Refund Policy, Warranty Policy, and all other policies published on the Website.
1. DEFINITIONS

"CAD Rendering" | A computer-generated three-dimensional visual representation of a custom jewellery design, prepared by Aarunya's design team for the Customer's review and approval. |
"Custom Jewellery" | Any jewellery order that involves customer-specific design requirements, including but not limited to: personalized designs, engraved items, bespoke designs created from scratch, modifications to existing catalogue designs, and jewellery manufactured to individual measurements or specifications. |
"Design Approval" | The Customer's written or digital confirmation — provided by email, WhatsApp, or through the Website — that the CAD Rendering (and, where applicable, the sample) accurately reflects the Customer's requirements and is approved for production. |
"Design Brief" | The written or verbal description of the Customer's requirements provided to Aarunya at the time of enquiry, including specifications such as metal type, diamond type, size, style, and any personalization details. |
"Engraving" | Text, numerals, symbols, or patterns inscribed on a jewellery surface. Once engraved, the item is considered a Custom Jewellery product and is subject to the terms of this Policy. |
"Production Commencement" | The point at which Aarunya initiates the physical manufacturing of the Custom Jewellery, which may occur after Design Approval is received and full payment is confirmed. |
"Specification Error" | An error in the custom design attributable to information, measurements, text, or specifications provided by the Customer — including typographical errors in engraving text, incorrect ring sizes, or inaccurate dimensions provided by the Customer. |
2. WHAT CONSTITUTES CUSTOM JEWELLERY
2.1 The following types of orders are classified as Custom Jewellery for the purposes of this Policy and are subject to its terms:

Bespoke Design | A design created from scratch based on a Customer's concept, sketch, or reference image, with no corresponding catalogue item. |
Catalogue Modification | An existing Aarunya catalogue design that has been modified at the Customer's request — including changes to metal type, diamond type, diamond size, setting style, dimensions, or proportions. |
Personalized Jewellery | Any item that includes engraving, monogramming, name inscriptions, initials, dates, or custom text. |
Custom-Sized Items | Items manufactured to a specific measurement provided by the Customer, including rings sized to a non-standard size that requires individual manufacturing. |
Gifting Personalization | Items that include personalized packaging, custom message cards, or special gifting configurations arranged at the Customer's request. |
2.2 Where Aarunya and the Customer are uncertain whether a specific order qualifies as Custom Jewellery, Aarunya's determination shall be final for the purposes of the applicable policy terms.
3. CUSTOM JEWELLERY ORDER PROCESS
3.1 All Custom Jewellery orders follow the process set out below. Each stage must be completed before the next commences:

4 | CAD Design | Aarunya's design team prepares a Computer-Aided Design (CAD) rendering of the jewellery based on the confirmed Design Brief. The CAD is shared with the Customer for review. | 3–5 Working Days |
5 | Design Revisions | The Customer may request up to 3 rounds of revisions to the CAD design. Each revision round may take 1–2 Working Days. Additional revision rounds beyond the permitted number may attract a design revision fee. | 1–2 Working Days / revision |
6 | Design Approval | The Customer provides written Design Approval confirming the CAD is correct and authorizing Aarunya to proceed to production. This is the final and binding approval — no changes can be made after this point. | At Customer's confirmation |
7 | Manufacturing | Production commences immediately upon Design Approval. The jewellery is manufactured, set, finished, quality-checked, BIS hallmarked, and IGI certified (where applicable). | 8–12 Working Days |
8 | Quality Inspection | Aarunya conducts a final quality inspection before dispatch to verify the product matches the approved CAD, meets quality standards, and complies with BIS hallmarking and certification requirements. | 1–2 Working Days |
9 | Dispatch & Delivery | The product is dispatched via Aarunya's insured logistics partners. OTP verification required at delivery. | 2–4 Working Days |
3.2 The total estimated timeline from Design Approval to delivery is 12–15 Working Days for standard custom orders. Complex designs or bespoke pieces requiring extended craftsmanship may take longer. Aarunya will notify the Customer of any revised timeline before Design Approval is provided.
4. PAYMENT TERMS — 100% ADVANCE PAYMENT
4.1 All Custom Jewellery orders require full payment in advance before any design work or production activity commences.
4.2 Payment must be made through the accepted payment methods available on the Website, as described in Aarunya's Payment Policy.
4.3 The advance payment confirms the Customer's commitment to the order. It does not by itself confirm acceptance of the order — acceptance occurs only upon Aarunya's written Order Confirmation following payment verification and feasibility assessment.
4.4 Where Aarunya determines, after receiving payment, that the requested custom design is not feasible (whether for technical, material, legal, or operational reasons), Aarunya will notify the Customer and offer either:
- an alternative design solution for the Customer's consideration; or
- a full refund of the advance payment within 7–10 Business Days.
5. DESIGN BRIEF — CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES
5.1 The Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of the Design Brief provided to Aarunya. Aarunya will manufacture the Custom Jewellery strictly in accordance with the confirmed Design Brief and the approved CAD Rendering.
5.2 Customers are specifically responsible for providing the following information accurately:

Ring Size | Customers ordering rings must provide their accurate ring size. Aarunya recommends getting ring size measured professionally at a jeweller. Aarunya does not accept responsibility for incorrect sizing provided by the Customer. Resizing after delivery may be possible but is subject to the Resizing Policy and additional charges. |
Engraving Text | Customers must verify the exact spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and language of any engraving text before providing Design Approval. Typographical errors in approved engraving text are Specification Errors and are the Customer's responsibility. |
Metal & Purity | Customers must confirm their preferred metal (yellow gold, white gold, rose gold, or platinum) and purity (18K, 22K, etc.). Aarunya will confirm feasibility for the requested combination. |
Diamond Preferences | Customers requesting specific diamond grades, gemstone types, or diamond sizes must confirm these preferences clearly. Aarunya will confirm availability and pricing before Design Approval. |
Reference Images | Customers providing reference images or sketches from third-party sources must ensure they have the right to use such references. Aarunya is not liable for intellectual property infringement arising from Customer-provided reference images. |
6. CAD DESIGN RENDERING & DESIGN APPROVAL
6.1 Aarunya will prepare a CAD Rendering of the Customer's custom design based on the confirmed Design Brief. The CAD Rendering is a three-dimensional digital visualization of the intended design and will be shared with the Customer via email, WhatsApp, or through the Website.
6.2 The Customer must review the CAD Rendering carefully before providing Design Approval, including:
- overall design proportions and shape;
- diamond placement and setting style;
- metal type and finish;
- engraving text and placement (where applicable);
- dimensions and sizing; and
- all other design details visible in the CAD Rendering.
6.3 By providing Design Approval, the Customer confirms that:
- the CAD Rendering accurately reflects the Customer's requirements;
- all specifications in the Design Brief have been correctly incorporated; and
- the Customer authorizes Aarunya to proceed to production based on the approved CAD Rendering.
DESIGN APPROVAL IS FINAL AND BINDING Once Design Approval is provided, no changes can be made to the design, specifications, engraving text, dimensions, or any other element of the Custom Jewellery order. The product will be manufactured exactly as approved. Aarunya strongly advises Customers to take as much time as needed during the design review stage and to seek clarification from Aarunya before approving, rather than after. Requests for changes after Design Approval will not be accommodated. |
6.4 Where the CAD Rendering cannot fully represent fine details (such as specific surface textures, microscopic engraving elements, or diamond brilliance), Aarunya will provide written supplementary descriptions. The Customer acknowledges that the final physical product may present minor visual differences from the CAD Rendering attributable to the handcrafted nature of jewellery manufacturing — such differences do not constitute defects.
6.5 CAD Renderings are prepared using professional jewellery design software. Aarunya retains all intellectual property rights in the CAD Renderings. The Customer may not share, publish, or reproduce CAD Renderings without Aarunya's prior written consent.
7. CANCELLATION OF CUSTOM JEWELLERY ORDERS
7.1 Custom Jewellery cancellation terms are governed by the detailed provisions in Aarunya's Cancellation Policy (Clause 5). The following is a summary:

8. RETURNS & REFUNDS — CUSTOM JEWELLERY
8.1 Custom Jewellery products are not eligible for change-of-mind returns under Aarunya's standard 10-day return window. This exclusion applies because Custom Jewellery is manufactured exclusively to a specific Customer's approved specifications and cannot be resold or repurposed.
8.2 Notwithstanding Clause 8.1, the following situations entitle the Customer to a remedy:

Verified manufacturing defect — the product departs materially from the approved CAD Rendering due to a fault in Aarunya's manufacturing process | Repair, re-manufacture, or refund at Aarunya's determination based on the nature of the defect. No cost to Customer. |
Product differs materially from approved CAD Rendering due to Aarunya's error | Re-manufacture of the product to the approved specification, or refund if re-manufacture is not feasible. No cost to Customer. |
Specification Error — the product matches the approved CAD Rendering exactly but the Customer's originally provided specifications (e.g. engraving text, ring size) contained an error | No remedy available for Specification Errors. Aarunya will have manufactured the product in accordance with the Customer's own approved specifications. Aarunya may offer repair or modification as a paid service. |
Aarunya is unable to complete the order | Full refund of the advance payment within 7–10 Business Days. |
8.3 Claims under Clause 8.2 must be submitted to Aarunya within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs clearly documenting the discrepancy between the delivered product and the approved CAD Rendering. Aarunya will investigate and respond within 7 Business Days.
9. WARRANTY
Custom Jewellery products are covered by the same 6-month limited manufacturing warranty as all other Aarunya products, as set out in Aarunya's Warranty Policy. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the setting, structural manufacturing, and clasping of the custom piece. The warranty does not cover Specification Errors or damage attributable to the Customer.
10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
10.1 All original custom jewellery designs created by Aarunya's design team — including CAD Renderings, sketches, and design concepts — are the intellectual property of Aviana Diamonds LLP, regardless of whether they were created in response to a Customer's brief.
10.2 Where the Customer provides a design concept, sketch, reference image, or specific creative input that forms the primary basis of the design, Aarunya acknowledges the Customer's creative contribution. However, the technical implementation, CAD work, and manufacturing process remain Aarunya's proprietary work.
10.3 Custom designs created for one Customer will not be reproduced for sale to another Customer without the first Customer's prior written consent.
10.4 Customers warrant that reference images, sketches, or design inputs they provide to Aarunya do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. Aarunya accepts no responsibility for designs based on infringing reference material provided by the Customer.
11. STATUTORY RIGHTS
Nothing in this Policy shall limit, exclude, or modify any rights available to Customers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. The non-cancellability and non-returnability of Custom Jewellery orders applies only to change-of-mind situations. Customers retain all statutory rights in respect of defective goods, goods not as described, and other consumer law remedies under applicable Indian law.
