In this Policy, capitalized terms not otherwise defined shall have the meanings assigned to them in Aarunya’s Terms & Conditions. In addition:

2.1 The following types of orders are classified as Custom Jewellery for the purposes of this Policy:

2.2 Where there is uncertainty as to whether a specific order qualifies as Custom Jewellery, Aarunya’s determination shall be final for the purposes of the applicable policy terms.

3.1 All Custom Jewellery Orders shall follow the process set out below. Each stage shall be completed before the Order proceeds to the next:

3.2 The estimated delivery timeline for a Custom Jewellery Order shall be communicated to the Customer in the approved quotation and shall be calculated from Design Approval, subject to the Customer having fulfilled all applicable obligations, including timely confirmation, payment, and provision of required information. Where the Order involves unusual complexity, specialised craftsmanship, specific material or diamond sourcing, or other circumstances reasonably requiring additional time, Aarunya may communicate a revised delivery timeline to the Customer before Design Approval is provided.

4.1 All Custom Jewellery orders require payment in two stages: a 50% Advance Payment payable upon order confirmation, before any design work commences, and a 50% Balance Payment payable once manufacturing is complete and before dispatch.

4.2 Payment must be made through the accepted payment methods available on the Website, as described in Aarunya's Payment Policy.

4.3 The 50% Advance Payment confirms the Customer's commitment to the order. It does not by itself confirm acceptance of the order — acceptance occurs only upon Aarunya's written Order Confirmation following payment verification and feasibility assessment.

4.4 Where Aarunya determines, after receiving the 50% Advance Payment, that the requested custom design is not feasible (whether for technical, material, legal, or operational reasons), Aarunya will notify the Customer and offer either:

• an alternative design solution for the Customer's consideration; or
• a full refund of the 50% Advance Payment within 7–10 Business Days.

4.5 Aarunya will not dispatch the completed Order until the 50% Balance Payment has been received in full.

5.1 The Customer is solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of the Design Brief provided to Aarunya. Aarunya will manufacture the Custom Jewellery strictly in accordance with the confirmed Design Brief and the approved CAD Rendering.

5.2 Customers are specifically responsible for providing the following information accurately before the 50% Advance is paid:

6.1 Aarunya will prepare a CAD Rendering of the Customer’s custom design based on the confirmed Design Brief. The CAD Rendering will be shared with the Customer via email, WhatsApp, or through the Website after receipt of the 50% Advance.

6.2 The Customer must review the CAD Rendering carefully before providing Design Approval, including:

• overall design proportions and shape;
• diamond placement and setting style;
• metal type and finish;
• engraving text and placement (where applicable);
• dimensions and sizing; and
• all other design details visible in the CAD Rendering.

6.3 By providing Design Approval, the Customer confirms that:

• the CAD Rendering accurately reflects the Customer’s requirements;
• all specifications in the Design Brief have been correctly incorporated; and
• the Customer authorises Aarunya to proceed to manufacturing based on the approved CAD Rendering.

DESIGN APPROVAL IS FINAL AND BINDING Once Design Approval is provided, no changes can be made to the design, specifications, engraving text, dimensions, or any other element of the Custom Jewellery Order. The product will be manufactured exactly as approved. Aarunya strongly advises Customers to take as much time as needed during the design review stage and to seek clarification from Aarunya before approving. Requests for changes after Design Approval will not be accommodated.

6.4 Where the CAD Rendering cannot fully represent fine details (such as specific surface textures or diamond brilliance), Aarunya will provide written supplementary descriptions. The Customer acknowledges that the final physical product may present minor visual differences from the CAD Rendering attributable to the handcrafted nature of jewellery manufacturing — such differences do not constitute defects.

6.5 CAD Renderings are prepared using professional jewellery design software. Aarunya retains all intellectual property rights in the CAD Renderings. The Customer may not share, publish, or reproduce CAD Renderings without Aarunya’s prior written consent.

7.1 Custom Jewellery Orders are individually developed and manufactured based on the Customer’s requirements and approved specifications. Accordingly, the cancellation terms applicable to Custom Jewellery differ from those applicable to standard Made-to-Order products and do not follow the 24-hour cancellation window set out in Aarunya’s standard Cancellation Policy.

The standard 24-hour cancellation window in Aarunya’s Cancellation Policy does not apply to Custom Jewellery Orders. Cancellation of Custom Jewellery Orders is governed exclusively by the terms in this Clause 7.

7.2 Before Payment of the 50% Advance

Where the Customer has approved a quotation but has not yet paid the required 50% Advance, the Customer may elect not to proceed with the Order. No Custom Jewellery Order shall be treated as confirmed for production purposes until the applicable 50% Advance has been received and verified by Aarunya.

7.3 After Receipt of the 50% Advance

Upon receipt and verification of the 50% Advance, the Custom Jewellery Order shall be treated as a confirmed Customer-specific Order. Because Aarunya may thereafter commence CAD design, design development, sourcing, procurement, production planning, and other Customer-specific work, and may commit personnel, resources, materials, and production capacity specifically for the Order, Customer-initiated cancellation shall not ordinarily be permitted after receipt of the 50% Advance.

The Customer’s subsequent request to cancel the Order, including a request made before Design Approval, shall not by itself create an entitlement to cancellation or refund of the 50% Advance.

7.4 After Design Approval

Once Design Approval has been provided, the Customer has confirmed that the final design and specifications have been reviewed and approved for manufacturing. No cancellation or withdrawal of the Order shall ordinarily be permitted after Design Approval.

7.5 After Production Commencement

After Production Commencement, the Custom Jewellery Order shall not ordinarily be cancellable by the Customer, because manufacturing activities and Customer-specific commitments will have commenced.

7.6 Statutory Protections Preserved

Nothing in this Clause shall restrict or exclude any right or remedy available to the Customer under applicable law, including remedies arising from a verified manufacturing defect, material non-conformity, incorrect product supplied by Aarunya, or Aarunya’s failure to fulfil the confirmed Order.

7.7 Cancellation Status by Order Stage

IMPORTANT — CUSTOM JEWELLERY CANCELLATION Payment of the 50% Advance confirms the Customer’s commitment to the Custom Jewellery Order and authorises Aarunya to commence Customer-specific design and related activities. Accordingly, Customer-initiated cancellation after receipt of the 50% Advance shall not ordinarily be permitted, subject always to the Customer’s statutory rights and remedies under applicable law.

8.1 Custom Jewellery products are not eligible for a Preference-Based Return under Aarunya’s standard 10-day return window, because such products are manufactured specifically in accordance with the Customer’s approved requirements and specifications and cannot be resold or repurposed.

8.2 Notwithstanding Clause 8.1, nothing in this Policy shall exclude or restrict the Customer’s rights and remedies in the following circumstances:

8.3 Claims under Clause 8.2 must be submitted to Aarunya within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs clearly documenting the discrepancy between the delivered product and the approved CAD Rendering. Aarunya will investigate and respond within 7 Business Days.

8.4 Nothing in this Policy shall be interpreted as excluding any mandatory remedy available to the Customer under applicable Indian law.

Custom Jewellery products are covered by the same 6-month limited manufacturing warranty as all other Aarunya products, as set out in Aarunya’s Warranty Policy. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the setting, structural manufacturing, and clasping of the custom piece. The warranty does not cover Specification Errors or damage attributable to the Customer.

10.1 All original custom jewellery designs created by Aarunya’s design team — including CAD Renderings, sketches, and design concepts — are the intellectual property of Aviana Diamonds LLP, regardless of whether they were created in response to a Customer’s brief.

10.2 Where the Customer provides a design concept, sketch, reference image, or specific creative input that forms the primary basis of the design, Aarunya acknowledges the Customer’s creative contribution. However, the technical implementation, CAD work, and manufacturing process remain Aarunya’s proprietary work.

10.3 Custom designs created for one Customer will not be reproduced for sale to another Customer without the first Customer’s prior written consent.

10.4 Customers warrant that reference images, sketches, or design inputs they provide to Aarunya do not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights. Aarunya accepts no responsibility for designs based on infringing reference material provided by the Customer.

Nothing contained in this Policy shall be construed as limiting, excluding, or contracting out of any rights or remedies available to the Customer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, or any other applicable law in force in India.

The cancellation restrictions applicable to Custom Jewellery are intended to address Customer-initiated cancellation of a confirmed, Customer-specific Order after Aarunya has received the 50% Advance and commenced or committed resources towards the Order. They shall not apply so as to exclude remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including remedies relating to defective goods, material non-conformity, goods not matching the agreed specifications, or failure by Aarunya to fulfil its contractual obligations.
