LIFETIME EXCHANGE POLICY

Policy update date: 28 September 2026

This Lifetime Exchange Policy (“Policy”) sets out the terms and conditions governing Aarunya’s Lifetime Exchange Program (“Program”), offered by Aviana Diamonds LLP (“Aarunya”, “we”, “our”, “us”) to customers who purchase eligible jewellery products from www.aarunya.co (“Website”). The Program allows eligible customers to exchange a previously purchased Aarunya jewellery product for a new Aarunya product at any time after the applicable minimum holding period, subject to the terms set out in this Policy. This Policy is to be read in conjunction with Aarunya’s Terms & Conditions, Return & Refund Policy, Warranty Policy, and all other policies published on the Website. The Lifetime Exchange Program is a commercial benefit offered voluntarily by Aarunya and operates separately from and in addition to the Customer’s statutory rights under applicable consumer protection law.

1. DEFINITIONS

Term

Meaning

"Exchange Credit"

The monetary credit applied towards the purchase of a New Product, calculated in accordance with the Exchange Valuation Method specified in Clause 4 of this Policy.

"Exchange Product"

The original Aarunya jewellery product returned by the Customer under the Program in exchange for a New Product.

"Exchange Valuation Method"

The method by which Aarunya determines the Exchange Credit value of the Exchange Product, as set out in Clause 4 of this Policy. The Exchange Credit is calculated on the prevailing Aarunya Gold Rate and diamond market value applicable on the date of physical inspection and valuation of the Exchange Product.

"Eligible Product"

An Aarunya jewellery product that satisfies all conditions specified in Clause 3 of this Policy for participation in the Program.

"New Product"

A new Aarunya jewellery product selected by the Customer as the replacement for the Exchange Product.

"Original Invoice"

The GST tax invoice issued by Aarunya at the time of the original purchase of the Exchange Product.

"Original Purchaser"

The individual Customer in whose name the Original Invoice was issued for the Exchange Product.

"Program"

The Aarunya Lifetime Exchange Program described in this Policy.

"Top-Up Amount"

Where the price of the New Product exceeds the confirmed Exchange Credit, the additional amount payable by the Customer to complete the exchange. The Top-Up Amount is collected only after Aarunya has completed the Quality Inspection and confirmed the Exchange Credit in writing.

2. PROGRAM OVERVIEW

2.1 Aarunya’s Lifetime Exchange Program allows eligible Customers to exchange a previously purchased Aarunya jewellery product for a new Aarunya product at any time after the applicable minimum holding period, provided all eligibility conditions are satisfied.

2.2 The Program is offered as a courtesy by Aarunya and is not a statutory obligation. Aarunya reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Program at any time subject to the notice provisions in Clause 12 of this Policy.

2.3 The Program is not a buyback program. Aarunya does not purchase products back from Customers for cash or bank transfer. The Exchange Credit is redeemable only towards the purchase of a new Aarunya product on the Website.

2.4 The Program operates independently of Aarunya’s 10-day Return Window and 6-month Warranty Policy. A Customer who is ineligible for a standard return or warranty claim may still be eligible to use the Program, subject to the conditions in Clause 3.

3. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS

3.1 To be eligible for the Program, the following conditions must all be satisfied at the time of the exchange request:

Condition

Requirement

Purchased from Aarunya

The Exchange Product must have been purchased directly from www.aarunya.co. Products purchased from any third-party platform, reseller, or secondary market are not eligible.

Original Purchaser

The exchange request must be made by the Original Purchaser in whose name the Original Invoice was issued. The Program benefit is personal and non-transferable.

Original Invoice

The Customer must present the original GST tax invoice issued by Aarunya at the time of purchase. Exchange requests cannot be processed without the Original Invoice.

Minimum Holding Period

A minimum holding period of 6 months from the Delivery Date applies. Exchange requests cannot be processed before the expiry of this 6-month period.

Original Certificate

Where the Exchange Product was supplied with a diamond grading certificate issued by IGI, GSI, or GIA, the original certificate must be returned with the product. If the diamond from the Exchange Product is to be reused in the New Product, the original grading certificate shall accompany the diamond. If the diamond is not being reused, the original grading certificate must be surrendered to Aarunya.

No Third-Party Alterations

The Exchange Product must not have been altered, repaired, resized, re-engraved, re-polished, or otherwise modified by any party other than Aarunya. Products subjected to third-party alteration are not eligible for exchange.

Complete Product

The Exchange Product must be returned complete — including any original accessories, warranty card, and the product box where available. Missing components may reduce the Exchange Credit at Aarunya’s discretion.

Not a Stolen or Disputed Product

Aarunya reserves the right to verify ownership and decline exchange requests where there is reasonable suspicion that the Exchange Product is stolen, involved in a legal dispute, or was obtained through fraud.

3.2 The following products are excluded from the Program:

  • Custom Jewellery and engraved products;
  • Gift Cards and promotional items;
  • All products purchased at a discounted or sale price; and
  • Products that fail Aarunya’s Quality Inspection upon return under Clause 7 of this Policy.

4. EXCHANGE VALUATION METHOD

4.1 The Exchange Credit for an eligible Exchange Product shall be determined by Aarunya based on the following valuation methodology applicable on the date the Exchange Product is physically inspected and valued by Aarunya:

Component

Valuation Method

Gold Value

Calculated based on the prevailing Aarunya Gold Rate applicable on the date of exchange, multiplied by the net gold weight of the Exchange Product as determined by Aarunya after inspection.

Diamond Value

Calculated at 80% of the current market value of the diamond(s), determined by Aarunya after considering the accompanying IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate (where applicable), together with prevailing wholesale market conditions, quality, and other relevant commercial factors.

Making Charges

Not included in the Exchange Credit and shall not be refunded or credited.

GST and Other Taxes

Not included in the Exchange Credit and shall not be refunded or credited.

Certificate Replacement Charges

Where the original IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate is missing and re-certification is required, the applicable certification or replacement charges shall be deducted from the Exchange Credit.

Repair or Restoration Charges

Where the Exchange Product requires cleaning, repair, restoration, or replacement of damaged components to determine or preserve its value, the reasonable cost of such work may be deducted from the Exchange Credit.

4.2 The Exchange Credit shall be calculated only after Aarunya has completed a physical inspection and valuation of the Exchange Product. The valuation determined by Aarunya in accordance with this Policy shall be final and binding, subject to the Customer’s statutory rights under applicable law.

4.3 The Exchange Credit is redeemable only towards the purchase of a New Product from Aarunya. The Exchange Credit:

  • cannot be redeemed, encashed, or withdrawn as cash;
  • cannot be transferred or assigned to another person or customer account;
  • cannot be applied towards shipping charges, taxes, duties, insurance, gift wrapping, or any fees other than the purchase price of the New Product; and
  • where the Exchange Credit exceeds the purchase price of the New Product, the unused balance shall be credited to the Customer’s Aarunya Store Wallet and shall be subject to the applicable Store Wallet Terms and Conditions, including any applicable validity or expiry period.

4.4 GST and any other applicable taxes shall be levied on the New Product in accordance with applicable law. The application of an Exchange Credit does not reduce or alter the Customer’s GST liability except to the extent permitted under applicable tax laws.

4.5 The following additional conditions apply to the valuation of the Exchange Product and the determination of the Exchange Credit:

(a) Original Invoice: The original purchase invoice must be produced at the time of the exchange request. Aarunya reserves the right to decline an exchange request where satisfactory proof of purchase cannot be provided.

(b) Certificate Requirement: Where the jewellery was originally supplied with an IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate, the original certificate must accompany the Exchange Product.

(c) Missing Certificate: If the original certificate is unavailable, Aarunya may, at its sole discretion, arrange re-certification or replacement certification where available. The applicable charges shall be deducted from the Exchange Credit.

(d) Product Condition: The Exchange Product must be in a condition suitable for inspection and valuation. Where damage, excessive wear, missing components, or alterations affect the product’s value, Aarunya may deduct the reasonable cost of inspection, repair, restoration, refurbishment, replacement, or re-certification from the Exchange Credit.

(e) Third-Party Alterations: Jewellery that has been resized, repaired, modified, engraved, reset, polished, or otherwise altered by any person or entity other than Aarunya may be refused for exchange if, in Aarunya’s reasonable opinion, such alteration affects the authenticity, structural integrity, valuation, or resale suitability of the product.

(f) Applicable Gold Rate: For the purpose of calculating the Gold Value under this Policy, the applicable gold rate shall be the Aarunya Gold Rate prevailing on the date the Exchange Product is received, inspected, and valued by Aarunya.

5. NEW PRODUCT SELECTION

5.1 Upon confirmation of the Exchange Credit following Quality Inspection, the Customer may select any eligible New Product from the Website.

Scenario

Treatment

New Product value equals Exchange Credit

No additional payment required. Exchange is completed upon confirmation and dispatch of the New Product.

New Product value exceeds Exchange Credit

The Customer pays the Top-Up Amount — the difference between the New Product price and the confirmed Exchange Credit — through any accepted payment method on the Website. The Top-Up Amount is invoiced and collected only after Quality Inspection is complete and the Exchange Credit has been confirmed in writing by Aarunya. Dispatch of the New Product occurs after the Top-Up Amount has been received.

New Product value is less than Exchange Credit

Where the value of the New Product is less than the available Exchange Credit, the unused balance shall be credited to the Customer’s Aarunya Store Wallet. The Store Wallet balance may be used towards future eligible purchases in accordance with Aarunya’s Store Wallet Terms and Conditions. The unused Exchange Credit is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash unless otherwise required by applicable law.

5.2 The New Product is subject to the following delivery timelines:

  • Ready-to-Ship Products: 5–7 Calendar Days from exchange order confirmation;
  • Made-to-Order Products: 5–17 Calendar Days from exchange order confirmation; and
  • Custom Jewellery: 15–17 Calendar Days from final design approval and receipt of any Top-Up Amount.

6. HOW TO INITIATE AN EXCHANGE REQUEST

6.1 All exchange requests under the Program must be initiated through the following authorised channels:

Website Enquiry Form

Where available on the Website, the exchange enquiry form may be used to submit an initial request. All subsequent communications, approvals, valuations, and Top-Up invoices will be issued and confirmed by Aarunya via email to the Customer’s registered email address. The Website form is an intake channel only and does not constitute a binding exchange approval.

Business Hours

Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM IST (excluding public holidays)

Exchange requests submitted outside Business Hours will be reviewed at the commencement of the next Business Day. All exchange approvals, Exchange Credit confirmations, Top-Up invoices, and Reverse Pickup instructions will be issued by Aarunya via email to the Customer’s registered email address, regardless of the channel through which the initial request was submitted.

6.2 To initiate an exchange request, the Customer must provide:

  • Full name and registered email address or mobile number;
  • Original Order number and invoice reference;
  • Clear photographs of the Exchange Product (front, back, clasp, and any visible wear or condition issues);
  • The New Product the Customer wishes to receive (product name and URL from the Website); and
  • Confirmation that all eligibility conditions in Clause 3 are satisfied.

6.3 Aarunya will review the exchange request and respond within 3–5 Business Days with one of the following:

  • Exchange request approved — Reverse Pickup instructions will be issued via email;
  • Additional information required — Customer will be asked to provide further documentation; or
  • Exchange request declined — Reason will be provided in writing.

7. QUALITY INSPECTION OF EXCHANGE PRODUCT

7.1 Upon receipt of the Exchange Product at Aarunya’s facility following Reverse Pickup, the product will undergo a Quality Inspection to verify:

  • product identity against the Original Invoice and IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate (as applicable);
  • metal purity against the BIS hallmark and HUID;
  • absence of Third-Party Alterations;
  • presence of original IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate (where applicable, as described in Clause 3);
  • structural integrity and overall condition of the jewellery; and
  • completeness of the returned items.

7.2 Quality Inspection is generally completed within 3–5 Business Days of receipt of the Exchange Product.

7.3 Where the Exchange Product passes Quality Inspection, Aarunya will confirm the Exchange Credit in writing to the Customer. Where the New Product value exceeds the Exchange Credit, a Top-Up invoice will be issued at this stage. The New Product will be dispatched only after the Exchange Credit has been confirmed and, where applicable, the Top-Up Amount has been received.

7.4 Where the Quality Inspection reveals that the Exchange Product:

  • has been subjected to Third-Party Alterations;
  • does not match the product described in the Original Invoice;
  • is missing the required IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate;
  • has been structurally damaged beyond normal wear; or
  • is otherwise ineligible under Clause 3,

Aarunya will notify the Customer in writing. The Exchange Product will be returned to the Customer at no cost. Because the Top-Up Amount is collected only after Quality Inspection is complete and the Exchange Credit has been confirmed (see Clause 7.3), no Top-Up refund will ordinarily be required in this situation.

7.5 Where a Quality Inspection reveals that the Exchange Credit should be adjusted due to product condition, Aarunya will notify the Customer before proceeding. The Customer may accept the adjusted Exchange Credit and proceed with the exchange, or withdraw the exchange request and receive the Exchange Product back. In neither case will a Top-Up Amount have been collected at this stage.

TOP-UP TIMING — COLLECTED ONLY AFTER QC CONFIRMATION The Top-Up Amount is invoiced and collected by Aarunya only after the Exchange Product has passed Quality Inspection and the Exchange Credit has been confirmed in writing. No Top-Up payment is requested or collected before Quality Inspection is complete. This ensures that if the Exchange Product fails QC or the Exchange Credit is adjusted, the Customer is not required to seek a refund of the Top-Up Amount.

8. IGI, GIA & GSI CERTIFICATION & DIAMOND HANDLING ON EXCHANGE

8.1 Aarunya’s policy on diamond grading certificates and diamond handling upon exchange is as follows:

Scenario

Certificate Requirement

Diamond from Exchange Product is not being reused in the New Product

The original IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate must be surrendered to Aarunya along with the Exchange Product. Aarunya will retain the certificate as it accompanies the diamond returned by the Customer.

Diamond from Exchange Product is being reused in the New Product

The original IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate follows the diamond into the New Product and will accompany the New Product upon delivery. The Customer need not separately surrender the certificate — it transfers with the stone.

Exchange Product did not include an IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate

No certificate surrender is required. Aarunya will verify the diamond through its own quality inspection procedures.

8.2 The New Product will be accompanied by a new or transferred IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate as applicable, and details will be disclosed on the exchange confirmation and invoice.

9. RESIZING IN CONNECTION WITH EXCHANGE

9.1 Where a Customer exchanges a product and selects a New Product that requires resizing (such as a ring), resizing may be arranged as part of the exchange process or after delivery, subject to Aarunya’s Resizing Policy.

9.2 Resizing performed by Aarunya on the New Product after delivery does not affect the validity of the New Product’s warranty or IGI, GIA, or GSI certification.

9.3 Resizing performed by a third party on the New Product after delivery will void the warranty and render the product ineligible for future Program participation.

10. SHIPPING FOR EXCHANGE

10.1 Reverse Pickup of the Exchange Product will be arranged by Aarunya through its authorised Logistics Partners. The cost of Reverse Pickup for an approved exchange request is borne by Aarunya.

10.2 Delivery of the New Product to the Customer will be provided free of charge on the same terms as a standard order, as set out in Aarunya’s Shipping & Delivery Policy.

10.3 Customers must not self-ship the Exchange Product without written authorisation from Aarunya. Unauthorised shipments may not be accepted.

10.4 All shipments under the Program (both the Exchange Product pickup and the New Product delivery) are fully insured during transit.

11. BUYBACK POLICY

BUYBACK — NOT CURRENTLY OFFERED Aarunya does not currently offer a product buyback program under which products are purchased back for cash, bank transfer, or any monetary consideration. The Lifetime Exchange Program is an exchange-only facility. The Exchange Credit is redeemable solely against a new Aarunya product purchase on the Website and cannot be converted to cash under any circumstances. Aarunya may introduce a buyback program at a future stage, and any such offering will be announced on the Website with full terms and conditions.

12. MODIFICATION & DISCONTINUATION OF PROGRAM

12.1 Aarunya reserves the right to modify the terms of the Program, including the Exchange Valuation Method, minimum holding period, and eligibility conditions, at any time. Material modifications will be published on the Website with a minimum notice period of 30 calendar days before taking effect.

12.2 Aarunya reserves the right to discontinue the Program permanently with a minimum notice period of 90 calendar days. Notice will be communicated through the Website and, where practicable, by email to registered Customers.

12.3 Where the Program is discontinued, exchange requests submitted before the discontinuation date will be honoured in accordance with the terms applicable at the time of submission, provided the exchange has been approved and the Exchange Product has been received by Aarunya before the discontinuation date.

12.4 Modifications to the Program do not affect the statutory rights of Customers under applicable consumer protection law.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

13.1 Aarunya’s liability under the Program in respect of any single exchange transaction shall not exceed the Exchange Credit value applicable to the Exchange Product.

13.2 Aarunya shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special losses arising from participation in the Program, including losses arising from market price changes between the original purchase and the date of exchange.

13.3 Nothing in this Clause limits any right available to Customers under applicable consumer protection law.

14. GOVERNING LAW

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from the Program shall be subject to the dispute resolution provisions set out in Aarunya’s Terms & Conditions.
