PAYMENT POLICY
Policy update date: 10 July 2026
This Payment Policy ("Policy") governs all payment transactions made on www.aarunya.co ("Website") by customers ("Customer", "you", "your") purchasing products from Aviana Diamonds LLP, operating under the brand name Aarunya ("Aarunya", "we", "our", "us"). This Policy sets out the accepted payment methods, payment security standards, invoicing procedures, Store Wallet terms, failed transaction handling, duplicate payment procedures, and related matters. This Policy is to be read in conjunction with Aarunya's Terms & Conditions, Cancellation Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and all other policies published on the Website.
1. ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS
1.1 All transactions on the Website are processed in Indian Rupees (INR) only. The following payment methods are accepted:
Payment Method | Networks / Variants Supported | Notes |
UPI | All UPI-enabled apps (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and others) | Instant payment confirmation. Recommended for fastest order processing. |
Debit Card | Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, Maestro, and other supported networks | Subject to card issuer daily transaction limits. |
Credit Card | Visa, Mastercard, and other supported networks | Subject to available credit limit. No surcharge applied by Aarunya. |
Net Banking | All major Indian banks supported by Razorpay and CCAvenue | Redirect to bank portal for authentication. |
Store Wallet | Aarunya Store Wallet (refund/exchange credits only) | See Clause 6 of this Policy for full Store Wallet terms. |
1.2 The following payment methods are not available on the Website:
Method | Reason |
Cash on Delivery (COD) | Not available. Given the high value and insurance requirements of jewellery shipments, COD cannot be offered. |
Equated Monthly Instalments (EMI) | Not available at present. Aarunya may introduce EMI options in a future phase through its payment gateway partners. |
Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) | Not available at present. |
International Payment Cards | The Website currently accepts INR transactions only. Customers outside India may use international cards that support INR transactions through Razorpay or CCAvenue, subject to the card issuer's cross-border transaction policies. |
Cryptocurrency | Not accepted. |
2. PAYMENT GATEWAYS & SECURITY
2.1 Authorized Payment Gateway Providers
Payments on the Website are processed exclusively through the following authorized payment gateway providers:
Provider | Regulatory Status | Privacy Policy |
Razorpay Software Private Limited | RBI-authorized Payment Aggregator. PCI DSS compliant. | razorpay.com/privacy |
CCAvenue (Infibeam Avenues Limited) | RBI-authorized Payment Aggregator. PCI DSS compliant. | ccavenue.com/privacy.do |
2.2 What Aarunya Does Not Store
Aarunya does not collect, store, process, or have access to the following payment authentication data at any point:
- Credit or debit card numbers;
- Card Verification Value (CVV) codes;
- UPI PINs or UPI credentials;
- Net banking usernames, passwords, or OTPs;
- Bank account numbers or IFSC codes.
All payment authentication is handled entirely within the secure environment of the respective payment gateway. Aarunya receives only a transaction confirmation — comprising the transaction status, transaction reference number, and order amount — which is the minimum information necessary to confirm and process the Customer's order.
2.3 Payment Security Notice — Fraud Prevention
AARUNYA WILL NEVER ASK FOR YOUR PAYMENT DETAILS Aarunya and its authorized representatives will never contact a Customer by phone, WhatsApp, email, or SMS to request card numbers, CVV codes, OTP codes, UPI PINs, net banking passwords, or any other payment authentication credentials — for any reason, including "payment verification", "order confirmation", "refund processing", or "account security". If you receive any such communication purporting to be from Aarunya, it is fraudulent. Do not share any information. Report the incident immediately to info@aarunya.co and to the Cyber Crime Portal at cybercrime.gov.in. |
3. PRICING, GST & PAYMENT CONFIRMATION
3.1 Pricing
3.1.1 All prices displayed on the Website are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST). The GST component will be displayed as a separate line item during the checkout process.
3.1.2 The price applicable to an order is the price displayed and confirmed at the time of successful payment. Aarunya reserves the right to revise prices at any time without prior notice, but such revisions will not affect orders for which payment has already been confirmed.
3.1.3 Aarunya's jewellery pricing is subject to market fluctuations in gold prices and diamond prices. Prices are locked only upon receipt of confirmed payment. Aarunya does not guarantee the availability of a product at a displayed price until payment is confirmed.
3.2 Order Receipt & GST Tax Invoice
IMPORTANT — UNDERSTANDING YOUR ORDER DOCUMENTATION At the time of placing an order on the Website, an Order Receipt will be generated and sent to your registered email address. An Order Receipt is a confirmation of your order and payment — it is not a GST tax invoice. A formal GST-compliant tax invoice will be prepared after your order is processed and will be: (a) physically included with your product at the time of delivery; and (b) made available for download through your account on the Website once dispatched. The GST invoice is the document to be used for all tax, warranty, return, and exchange purposes. |
3.2.1 The Order Receipt issued at checkout will contain:
- Order reference number;
- Product description and quantity;
- Total amount paid (inclusive of GST);
- Payment method and transaction reference; and
- Estimated delivery timeline.
3.2.2 The GST Tax Invoice issued with dispatch will contain all information required under the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 and applicable rules, including:
- Aarunya's GSTIN: 24ABTFA7918D1ZA;
- Customer's GSTIN (where provided at the time of order);
- HSN / SAC codes applicable to the products;
- Taxable value and applicable GST rate and amount; and
- Place of supply.
3.2.3 Customers who require their GSTIN to be reflected on the tax invoice must provide their GSTIN at the time of placing the order. Aarunya cannot amend a tax invoice after dispatch to include GSTIN details not provided at the time of order.
4. PAYMENT PROCESS & ORDER CONFIRMATION
4.1 The payment process on the Website operates as follows:
Step | Stage | Details |
1 | Checkout | Customer selects product, confirms delivery address, and proceeds to checkout. GST breakdown is displayed. |
2 | Payment Method | Customer selects payment method from available options. |
3 | Gateway Redirect | Customer is redirected to the secure payment gateway (Razorpay or CCAvenue) to complete authentication and payment. |
4 | Payment Processing | The gateway processes the transaction with the Customer's bank or UPI provider. Aarunya does not interact with this step. |
5 | Confirmation | Upon successful payment, the gateway sends a confirmation to Aarunya. An Order Receipt is generated and sent to the Customer's registered email within a few minutes. |
6 | Order Processing | Aarunya verifies the payment confirmation and product availability, completes fraud screening, and issues the Order Confirmation. |
4.2 An order is confirmed only upon Aarunya's issuance of an Order Confirmation. The Order Receipt generated at the time of payment is not an Order Confirmation. Aarunya may decline to confirm an order after payment for legitimate reasons including fraud screening, stock unavailability, or pricing errors, in which case a full refund will be issued within 7–10 Business Days.
4.3 Where payment is received but no Order Confirmation is issued within 24 hours, the Customer should contact Aarunya at info@aarunya.co with the Order Receipt reference to investigate the matter.
5. FAILED TRANSACTIONS
5.1 A payment transaction may fail due to any of the following reasons:
- Insufficient funds or credit limit;
- Card declined by the issuing bank;
- Incorrect card details, CVV, or expiry date entered;
- OTP authentication failure or timeout;
- Net banking authentication error;
- UPI payment timeout or server error;
- Bank's daily transaction limit exceeded;
- Risk controls applied by the bank or payment gateway; or
- Temporary technical interruption at the payment gateway.
5.2 Where a payment fails:
Scenario | What Happens |
Payment fails and no amount is debited | The order is not placed. The Customer may reattempt the transaction. No action required from Aarunya. |
Payment fails but amount appears debited from bank account | This may be due to a processing lag. The Customer should wait 30–60 minutes and check their bank statement. If the amount does not auto-reverse within 5–7 Business Days, the Customer should contact Aarunya with the transaction reference. |
Payment gateway shows failure but bank debits the amount |
Where the payment gateway records a failure but the Customer's bank has debited the amount, this typically represents a single debit, not a duplicate payment. Aarunya will verify the transaction with the payment gateway. In most cases, the payment aggregator will auto-reverse the transaction to the Customer's bank account within 5–7 Business Days. If the funds are instead confirmed as successfully settled to Aarunya, Aarunya will either process the order normally (if not already created) or issue a refund, depending on the circumstances of the order. If the amount does not auto-reverse within 5–7 Business Days and no order has been created or refund issued, the Customer should contact their bank directly and provide the transaction reference. |
DO NOT ATTEMPT MULTIPLE PAYMENTS WITHOUT CHECKING YOUR BANK FIRST If a payment appears to have failed, do not immediately attempt a second payment without first checking your bank account or UPI app to confirm whether the original amount was debited. Multiple payment attempts for the same order may result in duplicate charges. Aarunya will assist in resolving any duplicate charge situation, but prevention is simpler. |
6. STORE WALLET
6.1 Nature of the Store Wallet
The Store Wallet is a credit balance maintained in a Customer's registered Aarunya account. It is not a prepaid payment instrument or a general-purpose wallet. The Store Wallet operates as follows:
What it is | A credit balance within a Customer's Aarunya account that can be applied towards future purchases on the Website. |
How credits are added | Credits are added exclusively through: (a) approved refunds where the Customer has elected to receive a Store Wallet credit rather than a refund to the original payment method; or (b) exchange credits arising from Aarunya's exchange programs. |
Customer top-up | Customers cannot independently load funds into the Store Wallet. Credits arise only from refunds and exchange programs as described above. |
How credits are used | Store Wallet credits can be applied at checkout as partial or full payment towards the purchase of any eligible product on the Website. |
Partial use | Where the order value exceeds the Store Wallet balance, the shortfall must be paid using another accepted payment method. |
Non-transferable | Store Wallet credits are non-transferable between accounts. |
Non-encashable | Store Wallet credits cannot be withdrawn as cash or transferred to a bank account at any time. |
No interest | No interest, return, or increment is payable on Store Wallet balances. |
6.2 Expiry of Store Wallet Credits
Store Wallet credits have the following rules:
- Store Wallet credits do not have an expiry date. Once credited to your Store Wallet, the balance remains valid and available for use on eligible future purchases until fully redeemed.
6.3 Store Wallet on Account Closure
If a Customer closes their registered account, all unused Store Wallet credits will be forfeited. Customers are advised to utilise their Store Wallet balance before requesting account closure.
6.4 Store Wallet on Cancellation of a Wallet-Funded Order
Where a Customer cancels an order that was paid wholly or partly using Store Wallet credits, the Store Wallet credit portion of the refund will be returned to the Store Wallet. The Store Wallet credit will carry the same expiry date as the original credit.
7. DUPLICATE PAYMENTS
7.1 A duplicate payment occurs where more than one successful payment is received for the same order, whether due to:
- the Customer attempting payment multiple times after an apparent failure;
- a technical error at the payment gateway resulting in multiple debits; or
- a bank processing error.
7.2 Where Aarunya identifies or is notified of a duplicate payment:
- Aarunya will verify the duplicate with the relevant payment gateway;
- the excess amount received will be identified and a refund will be initiated in full; and
- the refund will be credited to the original payment method used for the duplicate transaction within 7–10 Business Days of confirmation, without any deduction of payment gateway charges.
7.3 To report a suspected duplicate payment, the Customer should contact Aarunya at info@aarunya.co with:
- the Order Receipt reference number;
- the transaction references for both payments (available in the Customer's bank statement or UPI app); and
- the date and amount of each transaction.
7.4 Aarunya shall not be liable for interest or compensation on duplicate payments beyond the refund of the excess amount.
8. PAYMENT FOR CUSTOM JEWELLERY
8.1 Custom Jewellery orders require 100% advance payment before production commences. No production activity will be initiated until full payment has been received and confirmed.
8.2 The advance payment for Custom Jewellery is non-refundable once the Customer has provided Design Approval and production has commenced, as set out in Aarunya's Cancellation Policy and Custom Jewellery Policy.
8.3 Where a Custom Jewellery order is cancelled within the applicable cancellation window (before Design Approval), the refund will be processed as described in the Cancellation Policy, net of actual payment Gateway Charges.
9. CHARGEBACKS
9.1 A chargeback is a transaction reversal initiated by a Customer through their bank or card issuer. Aarunya takes chargeback disputes seriously and maintains records of all transactions, order confirmations, delivery records, and customer communications.
9.2 Where a chargeback is raised for a transaction that Aarunya has fulfilled in accordance with its policies and the Customer's order:
- Aarunya will submit a response to the payment gateway and issuing bank with all relevant documentation; and
- Aarunya reserves the right to suspend the Customer's account and decline future orders from that Customer pending resolution of the chargeback.
9.3 Customers are encouraged to contact Aarunya's Grievance Officer at the dedicated Grievance Officer email before initiating a chargeback, as most disputes can be resolved faster through direct engagement. Aarunya is committed to refunding eligible amounts in accordance with its stated policies without the need for bank intervention.
10. REFUNDS — PAYMENT METHOD TIMELINES
Refunds arising from approved cancellations, returns, or other eligible situations will be processed as follows:
Original Payment Method | Aarunya Initiates Refund Within | Estimated Credit to Customer |
Store Wallet Credit | Immediately upon approval | Instant — credited directly to Wallet upon approval. |
UPI | 7–10 Business Days of approval | Typically within 1–3 Business Days of Aarunya initiating the refund. |
Debit Card | 7–10 Business Days of approval | Typically within 5–7 Business Days; subject to issuing bank timelines. |
Credit Card | 7–10 Business Days of approval | Typically within 5–7 Business Days; may appear on next statement cycle. |
Net Banking | 7–10 Business Days of approval | Typically within 3–5 Business Days; subject to bank processing. |
Refund timelines are estimates from the date Aarunya initiates the refund. Actual credit to the Customer's account depends on the Customer's bank, card issuer, or UPI provider. Aarunya is not responsible for delays occurring after the refund has been initiated.
11. PRICING ERRORS
11.1 Where a product is listed at a materially incorrect price due to a typographical, system, or technical error, Aarunya reserves the right to:
- cancel the affected order and issue a full refund; or
- contact the Customer with the correct price and offer the option to proceed or cancel for a full refund.
11.2 Customers do not acquire a legal right to purchase products at an incorrectly displayed price. Where a pricing error is discovered after Order Confirmation, Aarunya will notify the Customer promptly.
12. POLICY AMENDMENTS
Aarunya reserves the right to amend, update, or replace this Policy at any time, including to add new payment methods, retire existing methods, or reflect changes in applicable law or payment gateway terms. Revisions will be published on the Website with an updated effective date. Material changes affecting active transactions will be communicated with reasonable prior notice.
