WARRANTY POLICY

Policy update date: 10 July 2026

This Warranty Policy ("Policy") sets out the terms and conditions of the limited manufacturing warranty ("Warranty") provided by Aviana Diamonds LLP, operating under the brand name Aarunya ("Aarunya", "we", "our", "us"), in respect of jewellery products purchased from www.aarunya.co ("Website"). This Policy applies to all eligible products purchased on the Website and is to be read in conjunction with Aarunya's Terms & Conditions, Return & Refund Policy, and all other policies published on the Website. The Warranty provided under this Policy is a limited commercial warranty and does not affect the Customer's statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable law.

1. DEFINITIONS

In this Policy, capitalized terms not otherwise defined shall have the meanings assigned in Aarunya's Terms & Conditions. In addition:

Term

Meaning

"Delivery Date"

The date on which the product is recorded as successfully delivered by Aarunya's Logistics Partner.

"Manufacturing Defect"

A fault in material or workmanship that existed in the product at the time of its dispatch from Aarunya's facility, as determined by Aarunya's quality inspection process. A Manufacturing Defect does not include damage arising from normal wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, chemical exposure, or any external cause.

"Normal Wear and Tear"

The expected and natural deterioration of a product resulting from ordinary, intended use over time, including surface scratching, minor dulling of finish, prong thinning due to regular wear, and gradual loss of rhodium plating.

"Third-Party Alteration"

Any modification, repair, resizing, engraving, polishing, soldering, or other intervention performed on the product by any person or entity other than Aarunya.

"Warranty Claim"

A formal request submitted by the Customer to Aarunya to obtain service under this Warranty during the Warranty Period.

"Warranty Period"

The 6-calendar-month period commencing on the Delivery Date, during which the Warranty is valid.

"Warranty Service"

The remedy provided by Aarunya upon approval of a valid Warranty Claim, which may include repair, component replacement, product replacement, or an alternative resolution as described in Clause 7.

2. WARRANTY COVERAGE PERIOD

2.1 Aarunya provides a 6-month limited manufacturing warranty from the Delivery Date of the product. The Warranty Period commences on Day 1, which is the Delivery Date recorded by Aarunya's Logistics Partner.

2.2 The Warranty Period is not paused, extended, or reset by:

  • a warranty repair or replacement during the Warranty Period — the original Warranty Period continues to run;
  • the product being held by Aarunya for repair during a Warranty Claim — the days during which the product is with Aarunya for inspection or repair will be added to the remaining Warranty Period upon return; or
  • any other event unless Aarunya expressly agrees in writing.

2.3 Warranty Claims must be initiated during the Warranty Period. Claims submitted after the expiry of the Warranty Period will not be accepted under this Policy. Manufacturing defect concerns arising after the Warranty Period has expired may be assessed on a goodwill basis at Aarunya's sole discretion, but no obligation exists to provide warranty service for out-of-warranty products.

3. WHAT IS COVERED

3.1 The Warranty covers the following Manufacturing Defects, where the defect existed at the time of dispatch and arises during normal, intended use of the product:

Covered Defect Category

Examples

Diamond Setting Defects

Diamonds or gemstones becoming loose or falling out due to a defect in the setting or prong work that existed at the time of manufacture, where the loss is not attributable to accidental impact or misuse.

Clasp & Locking Mechanism Defects

Faulty clasps, broken locking mechanisms, or defective closures that fail during normal use due to a manufacturing fault.

Structural Manufacturing Defects

Defects in soldering, joining, or linking that cause structural failure of the jewellery piece during normal use.

Finishing Defects

A verified defect in the quality of the surface finish, plating adhesion, or polishing quality as it existed at the time of manufacture and dispatch, which materially affects the appearance of the product.

3.2 All Warranty Claims are subject to inspection and approval by Aarunya. The existence of a Manufacturing Defect will be determined by Aarunya following physical examination of the product.

HOW TO DISTINGUISH A MANUFACTURING DEFECT FROM NORMAL WEAR

A Manufacturing Defect is a fault that existed in the product at the time of manufacture. A diamond prong that is correctly set but gradually loosens after years of daily wear is Normal Wear and Tear. A diamond prong that is structurally defective from the outset and loosens within weeks of careful wear may be a Manufacturing Defect. The key question is whether the fault originated in how the product was made, not whether the product eventually shows signs of age.

4. WHAT IS NOT COVERED

4.1 The following are expressly excluded from Warranty coverage:

Exclusion

Details

Normal Wear and Tear

Surface scratches, minor dents, thinning of metal, dulling of finish, loss of lustre, prong wear from regular daily use, and gradual fading of rhodium plating are not defects and are not covered.

Accidental Damage

Physical impact, bending, crushing, breaking, or other damage caused by an accident, fall, or external force is not covered, regardless of when it occurs.

Chemical Damage

Discolouration, corrosion, surface damage, or diamond damage caused by exposure to perfumes, cosmetics, cleaning agents, chlorinated water, detergents, hair sprays, lotions, or other chemical substances is not covered.

Water Damage

Damage caused by immersion in water, including swimming pools, hot tubs, salt water, or prolonged moisture exposure, is not covered.

Misuse & Improper Handling

Damage resulting from failure to follow Aarunya's jewellery care guidelines, improper storage, or use of the product in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose is not covered.

Third-Party Alterations

Any product that has been repaired, resized, re-engraved, re-polished, re-plated, soldered, or otherwise modified by any party other than Aarunya is immediately and permanently excluded from Warranty coverage. This exclusion takes effect at the moment of third-party intervention, regardless of whether the Warranty Period has expired.

Lost or Stolen Jewellery

Loss, theft, or misplacement of the product, or loss of diamonds or gemstones attributable to accidental causes rather than a Manufacturing Defect, is not covered.

Natural Diamond & Gemstone Characteristics

Inclusions, colour variations, surface features, and growth characteristics inherent to natural diamonds and gemstones are characteristics of natural materials and are not Manufacturing Defects.

Products Purchased Outside Aarunya

The Warranty applies only to products purchased directly from www.aarunya.co. Products purchased from any third-party platform, reseller, or secondary market are not covered.

5. WARRANTY CLAIM PROCESS

5.1 To initiate a Warranty Claim, the Customer must contact Aarunya within the Warranty Period through the following channels:

Email

info@aarunya.co (preferred — creates a written record)

Phone

+91 99678 00000

WhatsApp

+91 99678 00000

Business Hours

Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM IST

5.2 A Warranty Claim submission must include the following:

  • Full name and registered email address or mobile number;
  • Original Order number and invoice reference;
  • Clear photographs of the defect, taken in good lighting from multiple angles;
  • A short written description of when and how the defect was first noticed; and
  • Video evidence where the defect is motion-related (e.g. a loose clasp or loose diamond) — this significantly assists assessment.

5.3 Upon receipt of a Warranty Claim, Aarunya will review the submission and respond within 3–5 Business Days with one of the following:

  • Warranty Claim approved — Reverse Pickup will be arranged for physical inspection;
  • Additional information requested — the Customer will be asked to provide further photographs or details; or
  • Warranty Claim declined — the reason will be provided in writing.

5.4 A Warranty Claim is not confirmed until Aarunya issues a written Warranty Claim Approval. Products returned to Aarunya without prior written approval will not be accepted.

6. PHYSICAL INSPECTION

6.1 All Warranty Claims require physical inspection of the product at Aarunya's facility. Aarunya will arrange Reverse Pickup of the product from the Customer's address at no cost to the Customer, following issuance of the Warranty Claim Approval.

6.2 Physical inspection may include:

  • structural assessment of the jewellery;
  • examination of diamond settings, prongs, and clasps;
  • metal purity verification against the BIS hallmark and HUID;
  • diamond and gemstone inspection;
  • comparison against original manufacturing records and IGI, GIA, or GSI certificate (as applicable); and
  • assessment for signs of misuse, chemical damage, accidental damage, or Third-Party Alteration.

6.3 Physical inspection is generally completed within 5–7 Business Days of receipt of the product at Aarunya's facility. Aarunya will notify the Customer of the inspection outcome in writing.

6.4 Where physical inspection reveals that the claimed issue is not a Manufacturing Defect, or that a Warranty exclusion applies, Aarunya will:

  • notify the Customer in writing with the findings;
  • return the product to the Customer, with logistics and transit insurance charges for such return borne by the Customer; and
  • advise whether the issue may be addressed through Aarunya's paid repair services.

7. WARRANTY SERVICE — APPROVED CLAIMS

7.1 Where a Warranty Claim is approved following physical inspection, Aarunya will provide one of the following remedies, selected in the following order of preference based on what is operationally feasible:

Priority

Remedy

When Applied

1

Repair

The defective product is repaired to restore it to its intended functional and aesthetic condition. Repair is the preferred remedy for all repairable Manufacturing Defects. Repair will be completed at no cost to the Customer and the product returned within a reasonable time after inspection approval.

2

Component Replacement

Where the specific defective component (e.g. a clasp, setting, or diamond) can be replaced without replacing the entire product, Aarunya may replace the defective component. Replacement components will be of equivalent quality and specification.

3

Product Replacement

Where the product cannot be repaired or where component replacement is not feasible, and where the same or equivalent product is available, Aarunya may replace the entire product with a new product of equivalent specification.

4

Alternative Resolution

Where repair, component replacement, and product replacement are all not feasible, Aarunya will discuss an alternative resolution with the Customer. This may include a partial credit or another mutually agreed remedy. Aarunya will always provide a remedy for an approved Warranty Claim.

7.2 All Warranty Service is provided at no cost to the Customer, including return shipping after repair or replacement.

7.3 The remedy provided is at Aarunya's determination based on the nature of the defect and operational feasibility. The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 preserves the Customer's right to request a specific remedy; where Aarunya's preferred remedy is different from the Customer's preference, both parties will discuss and reach a reasonable resolution.

8. STONE LOSS UNDER WARRANTY

8.1 Diamond loss — the loss of a diamond or gemstone from its setting — may or may not constitute a Manufacturing Defect, depending on the cause.

Cause of Diamond Loss

Warranty Position

Setting defect at time of manufacture — prong structurally insufficient or incorrectly formed

Covered — Aarunya will replace the diamond and repair the setting.

Diamond loosening due to normal wear of prongs over time

Not covered — gradual prong wear is Normal Wear and Tear. Customers are advised to have prongs checked periodically.

Diamond loss following accidental impact or physical damage

Not covered — accidental damage is an excluded cause.

Diamond loss following Third-Party Alteration (e.g. resizing by another jeweller)

Not covered — Third-Party Alteration voids coverage immediately.

8.2 The determination of whether diamond loss constitutes a Manufacturing Defect will be made after physical inspection of the product by Aarunya's quality team. Aarunya's assessment will be communicated in writing.

9. WARRANTY & RESIZING

9.1 Ring resizing performed by Aarunya does not affect or void the Warranty. Aarunya's resizing service is covered by the same Warranty terms applicable to the original product for the remaining Warranty Period.

9.2 Ring resizing performed by any third party immediately and permanently voids the Warranty, as set out in Clause 4.1 (Third-Party Alterations).

9.3 Customers requiring resizing during the Warranty Period should contact Aarunya directly to arrange resizing, rather than using a third-party service, to preserve their Warranty coverage.

10. PAID REPAIR & POST-WARRANTY SERVICES

10.1 Aarunya may offer repair and maintenance services on a chargeable basis for:

  • products where the Warranty Period has expired;
  • products where the claimed issue is not covered by the Warranty; and
  • general maintenance and care services requested by the Customer.

10.2 Paid repair services may include:

  • diamond re-setting and tightening;
  • clasp repair or replacement;
  • rhodium re-plating;
  • polishing and cleaning;
  • soldering and structural repair; and
  • component replacement.

10.3 A quotation will be provided to the Customer after inspection, before any paid repair work commences. The Customer must approve the quotation before Aarunya proceeds. Aarunya is not obliged to provide paid repair services in every case, and availability may depend on the condition of the product and feasibility of repair.

10.4 Paid repairs carried out by Aarunya do not restart or extend the original Warranty Period. However, Aarunya will stand behind the quality of its paid repair work and will rectify any defect in the repair workmanship without additional charge, where such a defect is reported within 30 days of the repaired product being returned to the Customer.

11. JEWELLERY CARE GUIDELINES

Following these care guidelines will help maintain the quality of your Aarunya jewellery and preserve your Warranty coverage:

Care Area

Recommended Practice

Chemical Exposure

Remove jewellery before applying perfumes, cosmetics, hair products, cleaning agents, or any chemical substances. Apply cosmetics and perfumes before putting on jewellery.

Water Exposure

Remove jewellery before bathing, swimming, using hot tubs or saunas, and washing dishes. Chlorinated and salt water are particularly harmful to metal finishes and diamond security.

Physical Activity

Remove jewellery before gym workouts, sports, heavy lifting, gardening, or any manual work that may subject the jewellery to impact or physical stress.

Storage

Store each piece separately in a soft pouch or the original Aarunya box to prevent scratching. Avoid storing multiple pieces together where metal-on-metal contact may occur.

Cleaning

Clean gently using a soft, lint-free cloth. Avoid abrasive materials, ultrasonic cleaners (unless specifically advised by Aarunya), and harsh chemical cleaners.

Regular Inspection

Periodically inspect prongs, clasps, and settings for signs of wear or loosening. Prompt attention to a loose prong or clasp is the most effective way to prevent diamond loss.

Professional Check

Aarunya recommends an annual professional check of frequently worn jewellery, particularly pieces set with diamonds. Contact Aarunya to enquire about inspection services.

12. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

12.1 Aarunya's liability under this Warranty in respect of any single product shall not exceed the original purchase price paid for that product.

12.2 Aarunya shall not be liable for:

  • indirect, consequential, incidental, or special losses arising from a Manufacturing Defect;
  • loss of use of the product during the inspection or repair period;
  • sentimental or emotional value attributable to the product; or
  • losses arising from events outside Aarunya's reasonable control.

12.3 Nothing in this Clause limits any statutory right available to the Customer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable mandatory law. Where a Manufacturing Defect causes personal injury or loss, applicable product liability provisions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 shall apply.

13. STATUTORY RIGHTS

This Warranty is provided in addition to, and does not limit or exclude, any rights available to Customers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including statutory remedies for defective goods. If there is any conflict between the terms of this Warranty and applicable mandatory consumer protection law, the provisions of applicable law shall prevail.

14. POLICY AMENDMENTS

Aarunya reserves the right to amend, update, or replace this Policy at any time. Any revisions will be published on the Website with an updated effective date. Changes will not affect Warranty Claims already approved or products already under an active Warranty Period at the date of the revision.
